Monday's Minute| Hoot Owls


Welcome to Monday's Minute: A Minute About Hoot Owls.
  • There are around 200 different owl species.
  • Owls are active at night (nocturnal).
  • Owls are farsighted, meaning they can’t see things close to their eyes clearly.
  • Owls can turn their heads as much as 270 degrees.
  • In addition to hoots, owls can may chirp, bark, scream, whistle, screech or growl.
